Upon the order of the State Board of Education issued pursuant to Section 4020, the county board of education of a county succeeds to and is vested with all duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction formerly vested in the county committee on school district organization of that county.

Notwithstanding subdivision (a) of Section 4005, the first annual meeting following the reestablishment of a county committee on school district organization shall occur within 30 days of the State Board of Education’s action to reestablish the committee.

A county committee on school district organization reestablished pursuant to Section 4022 succeeds to and is vested with all the duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction previously transferred to the county board of education pursuant to Section 4021.
