The tax-collector is ex officio license-collector, and as license-collector shall collect all county licenses and perform the duties prescribed by law and by the ordinances of the board of supervisors.

At least once a month the tax collector shall pay the public money in his hands into the county treasury, taking the receipt of the treasurer therefor.
