There is and shall continue to be a State prison to be known as the California Institution for Men.

The California Institution for Men shall be located at Chino, San Bernardino County, California.
Added by renumbering Section 2008 by Stats. 1957, Ch. 2256.
The primary purpose of the California Institution for Men shall be for the imprisonment of male offenders who, in the opinion of the department, seem capable of moral rehabilitation and restoration to good citizenship.
