§ 62118

Added by Stats. 2015, Ch. 319, Sec. 2. (AB 2) Effective January 1, 2016.

If insufficient suitable housing units are available in the plan area for low- and moderate-income persons and families to be displaced from a community revitalization area, the city council or board of supervisors that created the authority shall assure that sufficient land be made available within its territorial jurisdiction for suitable housing for rental or purchase by low- and moderate-income persons and families. If insufficient suitable housing units are available in the community for use by persons and families of low and moderate income displaced by the revitalization

project, the authority may, to the extent of that deficiency, direct or cause the development, rehabilitation, or construction of housing units within the community, both inside and outside of revitalization plan areas.
