§ 14105.435

(a)Within 60 days of the approval of a drug in accordance with subdivision (a) of Section 14105.43, the department shall assign to that drug a reimbursement code, and provide notice to providers that the drug is on the Medi-Cal list of contract drugs.
(b)In the event that a manufacturer has not notified the department in writing of the approval of a drug by the United States Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) or an

AIDS-related condition within 15 days of that approval, the department shall be granted an additional 30 days to comply with subdivision (a). Written notification from the drug manufacturer shall include a copy of the United States Food and Drug Administration approval letter and the official labeling for the drug.
