The board shall cause a notice of the filing of the petition to be published once a week for two successive weeks in some newspaper published in the office county, and in a newspaper published within each other affected county. If no newspaper be published therein, the notice shall be posted for the same time in at least three public places in the district, and one of the notices shall be posted on the land proposed to be excluded.
