Added by Stats. 1999, Ch. 725, Sec. 1. Approved in Proposition 13 at the March 7, 2000, election.
The money in the subaccount, upon appropriation by the Legislature to the department, may be used by the department for both of the following:
(a)Grants to local agencies and nonprofit organizations for effective, low-cost flood control projects pursuant to Section 7048.
(b)Grants to local community conservation corps and other nonprofit corporations for local stream
clearance, flood mitigation, and cleanup activities.
