The money in the subaccount, upon appropriation by the Legislature to the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, may be used by the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency to pay the state’s share of the costs of flood management projects authorized by the United States to improve the level of flood protection in the state capital region.
