§ 69031

Amended by Stats. 1995, Ch. 727, Sec. 28. Effective January 1, 1996.

There is in the state government the California Pistachio Commission. The commission shall be composed of eight pistachio producers and one public member. Producers within the respective districts shall elect four producers from District 1, three producers from District 2, and one producer from District 3.

The public member shall be appointed to the commission by the secretary from the nominees recommended by the commission.

The secretary and other appropriate individuals as determined by the commission shall be nonvoting ex officio members of the commission.
