§ 1339.3

It is, therefore, the intent of the Legislature to designate certain general acute care hospitals as primary health service hospitals, which will facilitate the diversification of the small rural hospital. The designation shall apply only to those general acute care hospitals that meet the criteria set forth in this article and which are designated by the state department.
