The provisions of Article 2 (commencing with Section 53630) of Chapter 4 of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5 of the Government Code shall apply to the deposit of funds of an authority. Where the term “treasurer” is used in such article, it shall mean “housing authority” or the official designated by it to act hereunder, and where the term “local agency” is used in such article, it shall mean “housing authority.”
